Mailbox Monday!

Mailbox Monday!

Description

Mailbox Monday is a where we share the books we acquired in the week whether bought, borrowed or stole...or sent from a publisher! It is hosted by a different book blog each month; more details can be found here: Mailbox Monday.

The host for May's Monday Mailbox is Martha's Bookshelf.

Books I Bought

The pile of books I got this week!

Title: Fragile Things
Author: Neil Gaiman
I am planning on reading ALL of Neil Gaiman's
works next year so I'm currently collecting them! I
adore this edition- the dust jacket is made of
a see through, fragile paper which is a lovely touch.

Title: The Fairy Tale Detectives (The Sisters Grimm Book One)
Author: Michael Buckley
I hadn't heard of this series until I was recently introduced to
it by another book blogger and thought it looked incredible! Love the
cover too- pretty!

Titles: The Children's Crusade Vol. 1 and 2
Author: Neil Gaiman
Neil Gaiman comics found on ebay! These look interesting-
slightly Dickensian!

Title: The Book of Ballads and Sagas Vol.1
Authors: Neil Gaiman and Charles Vess
Again, a comic I found that I thought looked brilliant. It's
filled with Celtic poems and songs and folklore which
is right up my street.

Title: Black Orchid Book One
Author: Neil Gaiman
Yep- another Neil Gaiman comic. Again, don't know
too much about it but love the cover!

Title: 1602
Author: Neil Gaiman
This is a graphic novel, collecting together all the '1602'
comics and I cannot wait to read this! Superheroes in 1602? Yayyy.

Those are the books/comics that I acquired this week! Let me know what you got and link me to your mailboxes!

  13. Excuse me while I fangirl. I am SO ASHAMED of myself. Neil Gaiman is my favorite author of all time, and yet I have not read/heard of pretty much any of these comics!! Crazytown. I think it's funny that you just featured other cover art for Fragile Things, but that this is the edition you chose. :P

I'm excited to hear what you think about Sister's Grimm. I heard about them only recently as well, and noticed a long stack of them on my library shelves.

  14. Neil Gaiman his books are great!

And Sister's Grimm is such a sweet read! I've read it a while ago and posted a positive review about it. The main characters are two funny girls, not to mention all the fairytale characters! ^^
