ReplyDeleteGreat list of books!
Here's my
It's Monday! What Are You Reading? Hope you will stop by!
A wonderful mailbox! I definitely want to read the Toni Morrison book...and several of these I am curious about.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog!
Other than Morrison, all of the books mentioned are new to me! Love that when I visit a blog and find something new.
ReplyDeleteHave a great reading week.
I read Map of Time. It was unusual but I liked it.
ReplyDeleteLove the look of the books you've read. I've had fun looking through your blog.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone is reading "Everything is Illuminated" :) Glad you liked it!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading this week :)
It's Monday! What Are You Reading @ the Brunette Librarian's Blog
I'm sad to hear that Map of Time wasn't good, since the cover is so pretty! Glad it's one I didn't pick up!
ReplyDeleteHi. You are reading some different books to the ones I normally read - but I will be visiting your blog again soon for a good lok around.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I haven't read any of these, but Toni Morrison's book Beloved was beautifully written. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read anything by Toni Morrison in a while - love her books!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week!

Thx for hopping by my Monday!!! Sometimes I read slow, too. I picked up Grave Mercy unintentionally this morning and devoured over 250 pages. So... I think for me, it's a matter of what I'm reading rather than if I want to read!! I'm a new follower!!!
ReplyDeleteNice selection of books! The Map of Time looks interesting but 1/5 stars isn't encouraging...
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of any of these ones, but Baby's in Black looks really interesting, I'm especially loving that cover! :D It sucks that you didn't like The Map of Time, but at least you liked the other two books you read this week. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and commenting on my Monday post. :)
Happy Reading,
Ambur :)
Looks like a great week! Thanks for visiting my blog. Now following you!
ReplyDeleteI Am An Executioner sounds fascinating. I think it's time for another short story collection in my life!
ReplyDeleteLots of interesting biographical books. And Toni Morrison - she writes some heavy duty fiction. I read Beloved, and both hated and loved it. Very moving novel.
ReplyDeleteHave fun reading this week!
I'd like to read Everything is Illuminated
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great reading week,
Shelleyrae @ Book'd Out
I am an Executioner sounds really good! I will have to check it out. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to see you didn't like The Map of Time. I've been looking forward to reading that book for some time, but I can never seem to find the time. It's nice to see you enjoyed Everything is Illuminated. I've heard good things, but when I tried to read Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, I found it hard to get through.
ReplyDelete3 books is a great week for me, my reading has really slowed and 1 or 2 books is the norm. I'm not familiar with your books but I hope you enjoy them. Sorry The Map Of Time didn't do it for you.
ReplyDeleteIf that's considered slow, then I must be reading in slow-mo! LOL
ReplyDeleteI used to be able to read like that, but I stopped for some reason; I should really get back to it!
Interesting list. So many great titles. Everything Is Illuminated is on my tr list. 3 books is better than my average at the moment. Hope it picks up for you though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting and I'm now following you back :)
I haven't heard of any of these, but they look interesting. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by my blog. I'm now following you by e-mail and ALSO I am totally jealous of your to-read pile. I always wish mine had some adult literature, but I can't stop buying YA.
ReplyDeleteAll of your books seem very interesting...:)
ReplyDeleteIs Everything is Illuminated done in the same style (and wonky formating) of Extremely Loud and Incredible Close? I think I have EiI on wish list for the library, but I desperately hated EL&IC, so I am second guessing that in case that is just how he writes.
ReplyDeleteI still have Map of Time to read, but the cover art and fly papers are gorgeous.
