Q: What is the longest book you've read? What are your favorite 600+ page reads?

The longest book I've read: I'm not entirely sure but I recently read 'Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell' which was over 800 pages. In terms of pages, the graphic novels 'Blankets' and 'Habibi' are over 600 but are quick to read because they have lots of pictures!

Favorites: My favorite long books are the Harry Potter books, which is a predictable yet necessary answer! I also love The Shell Seekers by Rosamund Pilcher- it is so cute and cosy and really, really engaging with unforgettable characters. The Secret History by Donna Tartt is over 600 as well I think and that is one of my all-time favourite books.

Long TBR List: I STILL need to read House of Leaves by Mark Z.Danielewski which is sitting on my shelf like a I really want to read it but it's massive. Also 'The 13 1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebear' by Walter Moers which is, again, very big but looks awesome.

Thanks for reading and thanks for following! I am going to a wedding later so I may not follow back straight away but I definitely will when I am home!

  2. Oooh Jonathon Strange and Mr Norrell... I have that one sitting on my shelf like a huge... book! hehe. I tried it once but I couldn't get into it at the time. I'll have to try it again at some point.

  3. those are all great picks! Jonathon Strange and Mr. Norrell seems to be a popular choice and I forgot all about The Shell Seekers, I read that book ages ago! I read The Secret History a few years back as well. Love those secret society books, have you ever read The Rule of Four? It was similar to Donna Tartt's book:)New follower!

  10. Hopping through. I really want to read Jonathan Strange. I've heard great things about that book.
    My Hop

  11. I thought my copy of Jonathan Strange was longer than that. Twasn't one of my favorites, felt tedious. Took me two attempts to read it.

Hope you'll check out my follow friday

  12. If you consider the fact that the version of The Lord of The Rings I read was the one that’s one book with the 3 parts inside (1202 pages in the brazilian version), that would be the longest book I’ve ever read. But if you consider series to favorite 600+ page reads, hands down, Harry Potter. Not so much for the story, but for the feeling it brings me every time I think about it.

    I'm a new follower, btw!
